But I like to describe myself as a marketing strategist, copywriter, and content creator, in English and Spanish.
This means that I love playing with words and messages. I love to tinker with meaning, nuance, and the psychology behind it.
Why? Because words are powerful.
Words can make or break your day, such as a kind word from a friend when you're down, vs. an insult from a stranger who just cut in front of you during rush-hour traffic.
Words can be more effective than battles (Gandhi), and words can move people to reach the moon (JFK).
That's why we have a tremendous responsibility --and the joy and privilege that comes with it-- to make our messages the best that they can be, authentically. Messages need to be simple, clear and resonate with our intended audience. As easy as that. And they also need to bring about a benefit and a desired action.
There is no need for pushiness or manipulation. A GOOD OFFER SELLS ITSELF. Slime is primitive and everyone's B.S. detector is fully evolved, thankfully.
But today's world is full of noise, so you simply have to figure out what's the best way to craft a message and find the medium for your audience to get it.
This is where I come in. And this is where I do my best work.
